Please use this thread to discuss anything you want about my fanfic and if you want, give any constructive criticism that you might have. I'd like to keep the actual fanfic thread uncluttered if possible. Thanks!

As a person who does a lot of writing, especially fictional writing. There's many things that a good story should have.

1.) Characterization.

You notice I bring this up a lot, mostly with the EL anime and its lack of it. Your characters should have characterization and if they don't, they should either get some later or should not be of any important to your story. This can be any kind of characterization, for a good character, evil character. Buts its basically a way of putting emphasis onto your character and turning them into something.

2.) Plot Development. You're story should have a point to it. How does it start, how does it end and from start how do they get to the end. What happens? How does it happen? Why does it happen? Again the EL anime failed miserably on that, it's like the perfect thing to compare what a good development should not be like.

3.) Character development. Characters should always have development, especially those without good characterization. Because character development can build up characterization. The only time this isn't necessary is for those side characters that appear maybe one or twice. But for those important ones, give some back story. Show us how they change whether for the good or for the bad.

This is why Bando is so awesome in the manga as I've said. He already his gruff and brutal characterization to start out with but then he also went through development and what did you get? One of the most awesome and badass characters in the series.

These are just the starts. I think the most important thing you can do is this.

What is the story about?

Who are the characters?

What is the goal?

How do the characters get to the goal?

and every time you write, build it up. Add emotion, development and characterization along the way. Also as a note, good development should be built up. Don't be like Kubo who thinks development is putting a last bit of exposition at the very end the tells us Aizen was a lonely freak. That's bad.
